The UNO-St. Claude Gallery is excited to announce the opening of two MFA Thesis Exhibitions, Corbin R. Wayne Covher’s “Material Lifespan” and Darel Joseph’s “Redd Hott Fiyah.” In his sculpture, Covher seeks to heighten mundane materials such as concrete and foam through his intuitive, experimental, and evolving studio practice. In her work, Joseph explores performance through the lens of collage, a medium that she feels appropriately mirrors her diverse cultural heritage.
The exhibits will be held concurrently, from May 10– June 8, 2014. Opening receptions will be held May 10 from 6-9 p.m. The gallery is located at 2429 St. Claude Ave. Regular gallery hours are Saturdays and Sundays from 12-5 p.m.
